The Gunpowder Plot monument is mounted in the Council Chamber of the Queen's House within the Tower of London, where the 1605 conspirators, including Guido Fawkes, were interrogated, and is a rare and fascinating secular monument commemmorating the events and personalities involved in one of the major episodes of British history.
Minor repairs and cleaning of the stone surface were undertaken, together with analysis of applied surface layers and removal of varnishes to reveal the original painted heradic colours.
