St. Mary’s Church Lydiard Tregoze

16th century wall paintings on the chancel arch. Fresco secco in organic medium. A project funded by EH. The paintings were suffering from serious loss of adhesion of the paint layer. The project also included the removal of later limewash layers and inappropriate repairs and some major repairs to structural cracks in the wall.
