These two half-height figures, carved by noted Exeter stonecarver Harry Hems, had been kept outside in poor condition for someyears. They were cleaned, repaired and sheltercoated in preparation for their display inside the church.

Conservation of statuary and carved stone detail is a major element of our work. We are experienced in dealing with the problems of a wide variety of stone types, including limestone and sandstone, slate, marble and alabaster. Work ranges from sensitive surface repair and cleaning to structural repair and may be site based or undertaken in the workshop.
